I owned this album (okay…CD) when it was originally released and played it many, many times. I know these songs backwards and forwards. And I do not typically write reviews, but I have to in this case.
The MOFI remaster offered here is simply amazing. The clarity, detail and depth it delivers are well-worth the price. You'll notice it somewhat on the first track (Walking In Memphis), but you'll be bowled over when the 2nd track hits (Ghost Train). The low notes on the Fender Rhodes during the intro literally fill the room!
If you like Marc Cohn's music, buy this…and, if you don't know his music yet (or only know the song Walking In Memphis), my advice is the same - buy it. This is one of Marc's finest albums and this remaster truly makes it shine.

I first bought the mass-market CD for the song "Walking in Memphis" which I really love. After listening to the rest of the CD, I also grew to like "Ghost Train" and "Silver Thunderbird" quite a bit.
I decided to give the MoFi version a try to see how it compared. I think this was my first MoFi CD purchase.
After listening to the entire MoFI CD a number of times now, there are no songs that I don't like. It is very well-recorded, spacious, and detailed that it is almost like I've never heard some of it before.
The MoFi version is a little more laid-back and a little more mellow than the mass-market CD. It is also noticeably more detailed and spacious than the mass-market CD.
When I listened to the last track, "True Companion", the first time on the MoFi CD it sounded almost holographic to me.
I very much recommend this CD for the music and recommend buying the MoFi version even if you have the mass-market version already.
